How Scan to BIM Works
Point cloud
The scan creates a point cloud: a dense visual record of the space that can be measured and reviewed.
Revit model
The point cloud is brought into Revit, where walls, floors, ceilings, and key planes can be modeled against the scan.
QA check
Final QA compares the model against the walkthrough and point-cloud sections before delivery.
Verification
Trust but verify
The model is reviewed against the visual walkthrough and point-cloud, so the final Revit model can be trusted for design and coordination. The point cloud can also be supplied so you can verify the model at any time. We will also supply an NWD file, which you can view in a free viewer to confirm the accuracy.
